Robert “Toby” Grant is a Jamaican-born Creative Environmentalist, multidisciplinary artist, educator, and social entrepreneur whose work bridges environmental conservation, cultural heritage, and creative education across the Caribbean.
With over 15 years of experience in visual arts education and large-scale environmental art practice, Grant is the founder of JAMYAH International (Jamaica Artistic Movement for Youth and Humanity)—a creative ecosystem dedicated to transforming recycled and natural materials into impactful sculptures, immersive public art installations, and educational experiences. His work frequently incorporates vines, wood, stone, reclaimed plastics, metals, and glass to create sculptures that promote sustainability, biodiversity, and cultural storytelling.
Grant is widely recognized for pioneering environmental sculpture parks, underwater and land-based installations, VR/AR art concepts, and youth-centered creative programs. His projects span Jamaica, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the wider Caribbean, often developed in collaboration with schools, government agencies, hotels, foundations, and community stakeholders. Through these initiatives, he uses art as a tool for coral reef protection, environmental awareness, tourism innovation, and youth empowerment.
Beyond education, Grant is the visionary behind multiple creative ventures including environmental sculpture parks, cultural monuments, animation and storytelling projects, immersive cinema concepts, and eco-tourism developments. His work positions art not only as expression, but as infrastructure for sustainable development and cultural legacy.
Robert “Toby” Grant continues to shape a bold Caribbean narrative—where art, environment, technology, and community converge to inspire change, preserve heritage, and empower future generations.
