Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) under the tutelage of Howard Moo Young.
She is a recipient of national awards from the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC)
National Visual Arts Competition. Brown's photographs usually embody black and white and colour,

and overlooked details in our society, hidden elements and emotions. Brown is inspired by the resilience
of people and admires the beauty and enduring passion of her subjects despite their adversity. Her
photographic interest includes commercial photography, architecture, food, documentary and
conceptual photography. She has participated in exhibitions at the National Gallery of Jamaica, The
Liguanea Art Festival, The Association of Potters Art and Craft Fair, Kingston on the Edge Urban Art
Festival, Kingston Night Market and The Bob Marley Day Exhibition. She has worked as a photographer
for the Jamaica National Foundation Resolution Project where she instructed students across the
island to use photography as a tool for advocacy. She is currently a member of the Jamaica Photography
Society.
