Working from her home studio in Santa Rosa Heights, Arima,
Trinidad and Tobago. Lestra, a Trinidadian, works mainly in oils
and her style is Realism with which she tries to create a
photographic smoothness.  She also does portraits in pencil and
from time to time varies her subject matter to landscapes and still
life. Though she continues to do these forms, her true obsession
is people, with head sculptures also figurines made of homemade
clay and recycled bottles as her latest endeavors. She acquired a
Career Diploma in Art from Penn Foster Career School, is a
member of the Art Society and the Art Registry of Trinidad and
Tobago.
