A multi-faceted creative on a
journey of discovering music, art and all
the other intricacies of life. With an
instrument made from an oil drum, a
pair of mallets and great dexterity, Irkah
uses the steelpan and various art forms
to channel the deepest parts of self.
In hopes of connecting with everyone
who experiences their art, Irkah’s
repertoire draws from several genres,
including reggae, soca, pop, jazz, and
dancehall, just to name a few! Irkah has
spent almost 7 years immersed in
Steelpan mastery. As a result, she has
been called upon on numerous occasions
to teach steelpan to small groups of
students.
