Artist Bio

Dr. Geoffrey Williams is a Jamaican medical doctor and co-founder of Montego Bay’s long-established Doctors Surgi-Clinic (formerly Doctors Hospital), an institution that has served the community for over 40 years. His love for nature drove him to create and develop Animal Farm & Nature Reserve, where he spends most of his free time, tending to the gardens and his animals.

Located in Copse, Hanover, Jamaica, just 30 minutes’ drive from the city of Montego Bay, Animal Farm started out as a 6-acre farm primarily dedicated to aviculture, the raising and rearing of birds. On January 8, 2000, the farm was officially opened as a tourism attraction offering farm and nature tours. The property was later expanded with the purchase of an additional 34 acres of primarily uncultivated land and extended river frontage and became Animal Farm & Nature Reserve.

Today, the 40-acre attraction operates as a working quail farm and eco-tourism attraction ideal for local and international visitors who wish to experience and interact with animals and nature through farm tours, hiking, bird-watching, nature walks, bamboo river rafting, and other activities. Operating completely off-the-grid, the property is powered entirely by solar energy and practices a number of other sustainability initiatives, even offering eco-cottages through Airbnb for tourists wishing to overnight.
